Question
Dear Cheyanne:
I have a 2-year-old paint that seems to have a dandruff or dry skin problem, since I'm a very new horse owner, I'm not at all sure what it is. When I brush her, the stuff comes off like dandruff. Can you tell me a good shampoo or other treatment for this?

Thank you so much,
Jenny

Answer
Dear Jenny,
Sure sounds like dandruff. You can try any over the counter medicated shampoos. The people ones seem to work fine. You might also want to make sure your horse is getting enough vitamin and mineral supplements in his feed too.
